Tracey Donnelly Franklin is an artist with studio/galleries in both The Chair Factory in The Village of Waterford, VA, and Shepherdstown, WV. As a painter and sculptor, she has been featured in galleries and exhibitions in New York City, St. Louis, MO,  Middleburg, VA, and Shepherdstown, WV. Her work is inspired by animals, nature, and other artists such as Paul Gauguin, James Audubon, Ancient Chinoiserie, Persian Art and films. Tracey uses imagery found on fabric borrowed from collections such as The National Trust and often combine several bright colors and bold shapes adapting the work of these ideas and artists into a new and unique story and composition.

Tracey is passionate about exploring the relationship between nature and art, and reworking history. As a museum professional, she has  worked for The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.  In early 2023 she joined the elite group of registered copyists at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Tracey holds a BFA,  MFA,  and  also attended The Corcoran College of Art and Design.
