Theresa Miller has been painting in watercolors for the past 15 years. More recently, she began painting in oils and has joined the Copyist Program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. By copying the works of the Masters, Theresa's objective is to learn as much as she can about the process of how the painting was executed; about the technique, color and design utilized by the artist. Copying from the Old Masters is a highly valuable technique of classical art training, therefore she feels very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to pursue this highly instructive practice for her education in art. Theresa Miller has lived and worked in the United States and abroad and has exhibited her work in numerous juried, solo and group exhibits.
