Robin Rosner has a firm background in art.  She majored in Advertising Art and studied painting at the Art League in Alexandria.  She also lived in Tokyo Japan four years with her family where she studied oil painting under two sensei’s.  She was juried into the Lorton Workhouse in 2008 where she spent the next three years exhibiting.

In May of 2019 she joined the Copy Artist Program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.  This is a program open to qualifying artists.  She now has a better understanding of how the Old Masters painted.  When she studied one of her favorite Old Masters, Claude Monet’s painting “The Bridge at Argenteuil” she could see he painted with broken color which is supposed to achieve the actual sensation of light in a painting. Her current studio is located at The Artist’s Loft at Great Falls Village Centre, Great Falls, Va.
